Hi Jonathan, >> If an outlook 2016 user sends a calendar invite that has an attachment to a user with outlook 2013 the user cannot open the invite. Google drive for mac not logging in sending to enable or disable cookies. Do you mean the recipient cannot open this meeting request in Inbox folder?

How about opening this meeting item directly from Calendar folder? Is there any error when you open it?

If possible, could you please provide the current Outlook version then we can do a further test in our side? To collect the detailed version number, we can click File > Account > About Outlook. Additionally, if it is a calendar item opening issue instead of attachment missing corrupted issue, I suggest we can try to start Outlook in safe mode to narrow down the issue: Press Win+R to open Run in Windows, type Outlook /safe, press Enter. Then check if you can open this item in Outlook safe mode. Regards, Winnie Liang Please remember to mark the replies as answers if they help. If you have feedback for TechNet Subscriber Support, contact. Hi Jonathan, I tested in my side, sending a meeting request with attachments from Outlook 2016 (16.0.6925.1049).

After received in Outlook 2013 (15.0.4893.1000), I can open this calendar items and meeting request properly from Inbox folder or Calendar folder. In your side, please disable any anti-vines or mail scanning programs. Also remove the calendar sync in Third-party device such as iPhone, then do a test to confirm if the issue persists. I found why it happens, if someone sends this request using office 2016, users with office 2013 will need to create this register. To be easy just copy the lines below and save as.reg then double-click. ======================= Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_CURRENT_USER Software Microsoft Office 15.0 Outlook Options Calendar] 'AllowHTMLCalendarContent'=dword:00000001 ======================== Thanks again Jonathan an2nathan.

Note: This feature lets you prevent meetings from being forwarded, regardless of whether you're using Information Rights Management. Meeting invitations that don't allow forwarding When you create or edit a meeting, you can choose to allow or prevent forwarding of the meeting invitation. The option to allow forwarding is turned on by default. However, if the meeting organizer turns off this option, attendees included on the meeting invitation won't be able to forward the meeting to others. The organizer will still be able to add attendees by editing the meeting. Outlook can't prevent forwarding if a meeting invitation is sent to attendees whose mailboxes are hosted in older versions of Exchange with servers managed on-premises or hosted by a third-party service such as Google Calendar.
