Google Earth For Mac High Sierra

After updating Google Earth to version 7.1.5.1557 the application is always crashing. It's starting normal I can put in and search for a location. However, whenever I then want to do anything - like zooming in - the application simply crashes. I uninstalled the application and deleted all related files, even the invisible ones, and then restored the previous version from a backup - but it does not help. There must be files that get installed with Google Earth that do not have the terms 'google earth' or 'google' or 'earth' in them. It did not help - like all the other things Google recommends (before then concluding that it must be a hardware defect in my Mac). However, I found the solution somewhere else: after removing all plugins from my User/Library/Internet Plugins folder Google Earth works again without problems. So far I also did not encounter any problems by not having anything in this folder; most of my Internet plugins are anyway in my general Library/Internet Plugins folder.

Kind of lame from Google that they did not also found out about this. But I'm glad that it worked for me.
