Envelop Page Setup Not Working In Word For Mac
Nov 13, 2018 Scroll down to the Envelopes section, then double-click an envelope template. In the Document sidebar, click the Document tab. Click the second pop-up menu in the Printer & Paper Size section, then choose an envelope size. If you don’t see the size you need, you can set a custom size. There is no button to set the chosen envelope configuration as the default. This envelope choice will remain the default for the next document automatically; there is no need to click a button.
We have 3 new WC 7220 printers and none will print #10 envelopes from tray 5 with Mac Word 2013. We can insert the media in the tray and the printer recognizes it as #10 envelopes. But when we send a print job from Mac Word.
We get the error message that Resources required. No media in the tray. We are able to prin just fine from Windows 10 and Word. Aoc 2280 for mac video portland oregon. We installed the latest Xerox driver from the Xerox web site (XeroxPrintDriver.3.64.0_1572) and no driver for Mac OS 7 will install on El Capitan. I tried creating a printer with the Airprint driver with this machine but it's way to limited.
I get the same results when trying to print envelopes with Apple Pages.
Mulder wrote: What program are you using to print these envelopes, and what size are they (inches, please)? I'm using Address Book, but the same happens when I print from Pages. The envelopes are 183 mm x 136 mm. The predefined envelope formats didn't seem to match these dimensions. Pages seems to print more or less correctly if I choose one of the predefined envelope formats as document size. But even then, the output is left-aligned, although the envelope feeder would require centering (adjustable feeder brackets automatically centre any media). You can create your own custom layouts for envelopes and labels.
Here's how: 1. Open Address Book. Select a card which includes a mailing address.
From the File menu, choose Print. In the Print Dialog window, choose Define Custom from the Layout pop-up menu. Enter a Layout Name and click OK. You should now be able to edit the numbers in the measurement fields. If you cannot edit, leave the Print dialog open and switch to another application, then switch back to the Address Book Print dialog. You should now be able to edit the numbers in each of the measurement fields. Thanks, Mulder, but my problem remains.
I've defined a custom layout with 183 mm x 136 mm. The document size seems to be fine, but when I print on the laserjet, the printing system seems to assume I'm using A4 paper. It then positions the envelope area in the centre of that assumed A4 page. So if I feed envelopes everything ends up in the wrong place. So what I tried next was to enter the correct destination paper size instead of A4.
I switched to the paper handling page in the print dialog. These were the default settings: Pages to Print: All pages Destination Paper Size: Suggested Paper: A4 (disabled) Scale to fit Paper Size: No Scale down only: Disabled Page Order: Automatic I tried ticking ‘Scale to fit Paper Size’ and selecting a different destination paper size, but of course my envelope size wasn't listed there. So I was stuck again.
Summary: When I use one of the predefined envelope sizes in the Address Book print dialog, the Paper Handling dialog shows the correct envelope size. When I use my own dimensions, A4 or letter is selected instead, and this seems to mess up the layout. I've tried both.
The result is this: If I use one of the predefined document sizes everything just works. If I define my own document size (either in Snailmail, Address Book or Pages) the printing system defaults to something like A4 or US Letter and positions the content in the bottom left corner of the page. I can't seem to do anything about this. So I've decided to work around the problem, created my own template in Pages (document size: A4) and properly positioned the fields on the page myself. Pity the Address Book function didn't work out, as I think they're quite sophisticated.
Thanks for your help Hendrik. I have a slightly similar problem. My printer is an Epson inkjet (Stylus Photo R340). I usually use DL envelopes (11 cm x 22 cm). 'Envelope DL' is included in the paper sizes available in Page Setup, and if I choose this size, landscape format and my particular printer in Page Setup and set the printer to 'Use documents paper size', my envelopes print satisfactorily. But if I mark the extremes of the available page area and print in order to check the margin sizes, these turn out rather large: top 1.0, bottom 1.0, left 2.5, right 3.0 cm. I therefore specified a custom paper: size 11 cm x 22 cm, but margins 0.32 cm all round, since that is the default margin setting for the R340 printer.
