Windows Phone Connector For Mac Lumia 920
The Lumia 710, 800 and 900 are all running on Windows Phone platform, so that it doesn’t matter if you are using a Windows computer or a Mac, because of the telephone’s software.
My Macbook pro is frequently disconnected from my Nokia lumia hotspot wi-fi. The 'strange' thing is that, when I share my Nokia internet connection with a PC it works fine.
So the problem seems to be the interconnection between my Nokia and my MacBook. More, the disconnection problem seems to happen when I am not using the connection on my MacBook.
I explain myself: if I connect my MacBook to my Nokia hotspot wi-fi and start directly to download a file on my MacBook browser, file will be downloaded successfully. But if I stop browsing for 2 minutes, my wi-fi will be disconnected! I already tried a non variable Ip adress. Does not work! Any help would be nice 🙂. Thanks for the hint, but it didn't work for me. I typed the command, even rebooted, still getting disconnected every few seconds.
@Hasse: why do you think it's related to Airdrop? @anybody: any idea about how to troubleshoot these messages? Nov 30 18:06:26 xxx kernel[0]: AirPort: Link Down on en1. Reason 7 (Frame received from nonassociated STA). Nov 30 18:10:52 xxx kernel[0]: AirPort: Link Down on en1. Reason 7 (Frame received from nonassociated STA). It's not clear to me whether the MBP disconnects because it receives a 'bad' frame from the wifi access point, or actually it disconnects for some other reason and these logs are just the AP still trying to send traffic. Quite disappointing the lack of support from Apple about this issue, but of course one can't expect them to be professional enough to provide support in a case about interoperation with Windows.:-(. Same issue here (MacBook Air OS X 10.10.3 unable to stay connected to Lumia 920 8.10.14291.341 over wi-fi w/ error in Wireless Diagnostics Link Changed: link=Down, reason=Frame received from nonassociated STA.) It was working for me in 10.8/10.9, but as of 10.10 it's definitely unstable and will disconnect at the Mac end (other things can connect to the phone just fine) within a minute after connecting every time. Since you all are reporting the issues on earlier versions of OS X, I wonder what has changed, or if I'm really seeing a different issue?
I'll try disabling Airdrop to start as has been suggested in this thread, as I don't use Airdrop anyway.
