Why Chrome Driver Not Working For Mac In Selenium

Your MAC may show that binary as if its a document (probably because of some file associations with some apps) but am guessing WebDriver should still be able to work with it as a binary as long as it knows where the chromedriver binary resides. I tried like zipped the file and extracted using maven plugin but the file extension is going to change and it is not launching and i cann't upload it with out any extension of the file.
