I hate that there's no favicons, I'm so unproductive, and many sites just don't work in it forcing me to switch to Chrome (like PageCloud for example, our web host, I can't insert images into any website, it pops up saying not supported on Safari, switch to Chrome). Just wondering if people do actually use Chrome and if you do lose as much battery as it seems or if it's really that big of a deal? I'm tempted to just forfeit the 3 hours of extra battery because I dislike Safari that much lol.

Safari uses standard OS GUI elements, and shuts down visual rendering for tabs in the background. That is basically every thought I have between the two applications. I've never felt limited by Safari. Nice makes sense. This is my only Mac so I don't use iCloud as I use Android for my phone also. I don't mind Safari, it's more the tabs I hate without the icons on them, makes it so hard to know what is what. When I'm at work most our intranet sites start with our company name - the site name, so I sometimes have 4 tabs open all with the same name, where in Chrome they have the same name but diff favicons. I'll mess around with both to see the difference, or might try to keep tabs closed if not in use in Chrome.
